As a music teacher, I have witnessed many young musicians develop into confident, independent artists. Throughout my career as a music educator, my students have earned placement into their schools’ top ensembles, successfully auditioned into local, regional, and state honor bands, and accepted into collegiate music programs.
The achievements highlighted below represent not only individual accomplishments, but also they reflect the passion, dedication, and joy that come from meaningful musical growth and our work together. Whether a student's goal is growing in school band, performing in an honor ensemble, or majoring in music performance, I am proud to be in collaboration on their unique journey.

College acceptances
Spencer’s former private students have been accepted in music programs at colleges and universities such as CSU Long Beach, New York University, Oberlin College, San Jose State University, and USC Thornton School of Music.
Several of his former students have continued their musical pursuits into careers in music performance, music education, composition and arranging, and music production.
